Location: This ranch is located in North Central Texas
in Northern Hardeman County, approximately five miles
North of Quanah, TX.
Terrain: The Groesbeck Creek Ranch is a great
combination hunting and cattle or horse ranch. The ranch
is diversified, offering farmland, grassy pasture areas
with trees and brush, and CRP fields lined with very thick
shelterbelts. Some of the pastures have brush controlled,
with only the nice, large trees remaining, and some of the

common to see several large groups of whitetail deer
grazing on the winter wheat and traveling through the
ranch in the morning and evening. The shelterbelts that
line the CRP fields make for excellent quail hunting and
many coveys can be seen coming in and out of them while
traveling the ranch roads. Deer bed down in the abundant
grasses in these CRP fields during the day and sometimes
can only be seen from elevated areas. There are several
draws that funnel into Groesbeck Creek that wildlife of
all kinds are found traveling. Groesbeck Creek is a large
year round creek that is known for producing trophy
whitetail and adds to the beauty of this ranch. The large
spring fed pond that is located near the lodge is full of
fish and gets covered with ducks in the winter months.
Wildlife: Whitetail Deer, Quail, Turkey, Dove, Duck,
Wild Hogs, Excellent Fishing.
Improvements: Hunting Lodge with two bath, two
bedroom, kitchen, fireplace, and nice a large living area.
Nice horse barn with lots of storage and several steel
horse stalls. Pipe gated entrance to house and
headquarters. Wood fishing dock with lift for paddleboat.
Steel set of corrals with lots of cattle working
accessories. Very nice spring fed ponds (one large and one
small), stocked with fish. Good internal roads and fences
are fair to good condition. Small older house that could
be used as an additional hunting cabin. Four miles of
